They chose this type of business because Jennifer is a professional tailor.\\ ​ Jennifer completed senior four before joining the tailoring course. Joseph is a graduate secondary school teacher.\\ ​ Jennifer'​s experience in this business is immense now. She knows when and which materials to buy, she has expertise is going about new fashions. She has some good experience in handling their employees.\\ ​ In this business, the buy and sell materials for making different clothes. They also make clothes especially lady's clothes. They have been in this business for 15 years.\\ ​ This business is not a partnership. It is not even a sole ownership but rather a Joint-stock business. They say being in their joint-stock makes them share responsibilities. They also share ideas thus making them have less external consultants.\\ ​ They got started through their own savings.\\ ​ Joseph learnt business skills from the University while Jennifer learnt hers from her training institution.\\ ​

They aware of the strength and weaknesses of their competitors.\\ ​ They do marketing for their business by the use of flyers, outside display and word of mouth.\\ ​ Their location was not of their choice but it is a good place. Safety from natural hazards and human activities like theft and burglary are guaranteed\\ ​ They rarely seek advice but if they need to they to National Chamber of Commerce, their bankers. or senior business friends.\\ ​ They save most of their profits. They use some of their profits to pay rent and taxes.\\ ​ Yes they have a Business Plan and a Mission Statement to run their business.\\ ​ They have 4 employees. The chose these employees because of their qualification in tailoring.\\ {{::​jennifer.jpg?​nolink&​767}}\\ ​ Joseph and his wife have suppliers in Kampala and Arua. These are wholesalers. They prefer buying from these places because of fair prices from these places. Arua is selected because Kitenge materials from Congo are of good quality and are in plenty and at good prices.\\ ​ They get their products back to Gulu by private transport usually bus.\\ ​ They make the journey at least once a month.\\ ​ They usually get information about the best people to buy from though their friends in these two places.\\ ​ They do not get goods on credit from their suppliers since the suppliers are not fixed.\\ ​ The majority of her customers are ladies. There are also some men.\\ ​ They rarely give credit to their customers. When they do it is because the person is a long time customer.\\ ​
